We are excited to announce that the Mother Earth News FAIR and Fiber Fest are teaming up in 2018 to feature all your favorite producers, spinners and dyers, plus take home great craft items for gifts or yourself!
Fiber Fest is a wholesome, fun event for the entire family and at the same time showcases the beauty of a growing industry in the Maryland area. Educational displays of animals and fiber products allow attendees to develop their interest and skills, as well as purchase supplies and products.
Take part in classes and demonstrations held both Saturday and Sunday. Herding dog demonstration and fleece sale will be held on Saturday. We’ll have a large children’s area with pony rides, petting zoo, hands-on crafts, face painting and more. Please check back for more information on the classes available.

Drop spindle spinning is a great way to make yarn. Learn everything you need to know about drop spindle spinning including how to use a drop spindle, best practices and more. Cost $5, practice spindles will be provided Ages 8 & up
In this class, you will learn basic hooking techniques to get started and basic finishing techniques. You will receive a kit that includes the pattern, hook, cut wool and a book. Cost $45, includes the above supplies. Required: Participant must bring 10 inch embroidery hoop and a pair of scissors.
