I specialize in hand dyed yarn in luxury, unique bases, including blends of merino, linen, silk, and alpaca, with an emphasis on choosing the right natural fiber for the job, rather than relying on nylon. I also hand dye spinning fiber, including fiber from my own sheep, and sell hand spun yarn. I usually bring a spinning wheel with me to events to demonstrate.

Dusty Tree provides soap & hand-dyed yarns inspired by Nature. My soaps are all palm oil free, plant based and handcrafted in small batches using natural colorants and essential oils. In 2021, I started playing around with soap colorants (micas) and fragrance oils. These soaps are my creative soaps and I usually have a small assortment of these available. I also make a low suds no rinse wool wash that contains lanolin, which is perfect for your hand crafted creations. The yarns I offer are all dyed in micro batches using professional grade acid dyes with many of the bases being non superwash. I like to dye colorways that are more muted and darker in tone so that they can be worked together in projects. My yarns are all grown in the United States, milled in Pennsylvania and hand dyed by me.
